Mini mummy pizzas topped with melted cheese, sliced olives, and sauce are arranged to look like mummies on a wooden board, with the text "Halloween Mummy Pizzas" and "Fun for Kids!" displayed.
Mini mummy pizzas with melted cheese and olive eyes are arranged on a brown surface, perfectly capturing the Halloween spirit. The text reads "Mummy Pizzas" and "Fun for Halloween!.

Mini mummy pizzas are my favorite low-effort Halloween snack or dinner win. Start with English muffins, add a swipe of marinara, lay on string-cheese “wraps,” and finish with olive eyes. They bake in minutes, and they’re perfect for spooky after-school snacks, lunchboxes, or a quick bite before trick-or-treat.

Why We Love Easy Mummy Pizzas

  • Cute For Halloween – These pizzas are cute for Halloween snacks, parties, or lunchboxes
  • Dinner For Trick Or Treat – I like to get a little real food in my kid before all the trick or treat candy, and having a fun spooky dinner has many times helped her to eat some actual food before we go.
  • Fast To Make – Fast to make and easy to scale for a crowd.
  • Let The Kids Make Them – Kid-friendly assembly so everyone can assemble their own.

Ingredients For Mummy Pizzas

A plate with three English muffins and string cheese sticks, next to bowls of pepperoni slices, black olives, and marinara sauce, all labeled for easy mummy pizzas.
  • English Muffins – plain, sourdough or whole wheat are all great
  • marinara sauce – any red pasta sauce will work
  • pepperoni – optional, can make these simply cheese also
  • string cheese sticks – you can also cut mozzarella strips from a block of cheese. Using shredded mozzarella cheese won’t look like mummy “bandages,” but will still taste good!
  • black olives cut in half, or other types of olives without pits. You can also use slices of bell pepper or even slice an extra pepperoni in quarters to make four eyes.

How To Make Mini Mummy Pizzas

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil sprayed lightly with cooking oil. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Separate the muffins into two halves and lay the halves on the baking sheet face up.
Six mini mummy pizzas made with English muffin halves and tomato sauce are arranged on a parchment-lined baking sheet, with bowls of olives and pepperoni visible on the side.
  1. Place a spoonful of marinara sauce to each English Muffin piece. Add 2-3 pepperoni slices to each muffin.

  1. Pull the cheese sticks apart into thin strings. Layer in crisscross designs over the pepperoni to make the wrappings on the “mummy” design. I use one stick of cheese per muffin. Add two olive pieces to each muffin for the eyes.

  1. Bake the pizzas for 6-8 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly, then enjoy!

Packing Mini Mummy Pizzas In Lunchboxes

Bake then cool the pizzas completely. You can then pack these pizzas in a lunchbox with an ice pack. These mummy pizzas are good cold or room temp for lunch.

Variation Ideas For Mini Mummy Pizzas

Use Other Types Of Bread – You can use a different type of crust and decorate it the same way. Try a bagel, a piece of bread for pizza toast, or a naan bread.

Try Other Pizza Toppings For Eyes – Swap bell pepper, mushroom, a piece of carrot or another vegetable in your fridge for eyes if olives aren’t your favorite.

Can I Make Mini Mummy Pizzas Ahead Of Time?

You can assemble up to 24 hours in advance, then cover and refrigerate.

How Long Will Mini Mummy Pizzas Last?

These little mini mummy pizzas will last for about four days if stored in a covered container in the refrigerator.

Reheat at 350°F in the oven for 5–7 minutes or air fryer 325°F for 2–3 minutes. You can also reheat in the toaster oven or microwave.
